Create new notes.ini parameter DISABLE_SRVCFG_NAB_UPDATE to allow administrators to set the default behavior on a server to not have the set config' command update/create the server configuration document on that server. This can be overridden from the console command by using the format 'set config parameter=value update'. Also, the 'noupdate' flag can be used on the 'set config' command to specify to not update the server configuration document if this notes.ini parameter is not set.

This issue will occur only under the following circumstances:

If there is an existing Configuration document in which the field: "Use these settings as the default settings for all servers" is checked off as Yes. Also, the tab NOTES.INI Settings must contain the same NOTES.INI parameter that is being added using the SET CONFIG command.

The All Servers Configuration document contains the NOTES.INI parameter: log_mailrouting=40
On ServerA, from the server console, you use the following command: SET CONFIG log_mailrouting=30
Stop and restart the server

• The Address Book now contains a Configuration document for ServerA if one had not previously existed before the SET CONFIG command. The settings in this Configuration document will contain the default settings.
• If there was a Configuration document for ServerA, the NOTES.INI is added to the NOTES.INI Settings tab in the existing Configuration document.
• If the NOTES.INI parameter was simply added to the NOTES.INI manually, no Configuration document is created.
• Also, if the All Servers Configuration document contains any restrictions or settings for the server(s), the "new" Configuration document for ServerA will be ignored.
• If there is an existing document for ServerA, the new NOTES.INI parameters are simply added to the NOTES.INI Settings tab (and the NOTES.INI) and the server continues to use this existing Configuration document.
• In all instances, the NOTES.INI parameter must be in the NOTES.INI Settings tab in the All Servers Configuration document.
